This coastal route will connect the three districts of Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg in Konkan.

Mumbai – Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail

Panvel Rail Terminus Project

Once completed, Panvel will become the first rail terminus in the vicinity of Navi Mumbai, allowing commuters from the area to board several outstation trains at Panvel itself without having to travel to the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST), Dadar, or other city stations.

Work on the fresh Panvel rail terminus and the Kalamboli rail coach complex, which will be the first one to cater to Navi Mumbai and act as a buffer for Mumbai's growing train traffic, is already more than 61% complete.

Western Dedicated Freight (Rail) Corridor

(Dadri Uttar Pradesh to J.N.P.T): Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India under the ambitious Golden Quadrilateral linking the four metropolitan cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Howrah, and its two diagonals (Delhi-Chennai and Mumbai-Howrah) started the Western Dedicated Freight (Rail) Corridor (WDFC), which stretches from Dadri in Uttar Pradesh to Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) in Panvel, Raigad, spans 1,468 kilometres and goes through the states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra. The last stretch of 104-km between Saphale (near Boisar, Palghar District) and JNPT (Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust) was challenging from the day one because there were a lot of land acquisition issues, present completion deadline is in mid-2025..

Navi Mumbai International Airport

The Navi Mumbai International Airport is set to be a major aviation hub that will significantly boost the region's connectivity, economy, and infrastructure. As one of the largest green-field airports being developed in India, NMIA is expected to complement the existing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai, alleviating congestion and facilitating greater passenger and cargo traffic. Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is set to begin operations by March 31, 2025, marking the completion of its initial two phases at an estimated cost of Rs 19,646 Crore. These phases will enable the airport to handle up to 20 million passengers annually and manage 0.8 million metric tonnes of cargo each year. Upon full completion of all phases, the airport's cargo handling capacity will ultimately increase to 2.6 million metric tonnes annually..

Dighi Port

i. Dighi Port is a new port in the Raigad district of Maharashtra that is being developed by Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ). The port is located on the banks of the Rajpuri Creek, 170 km south of Mumbai and 42 nautical miles from the Mumbai Port. The port is designed to serve oil, chemicals, container, and bulk cargos, and will have direct berthing facilities, closed warehouses, and liquid tank farms. APSEZ plans to invest ₹10,000 Crore in the port to develop it into a multi-cargo port, improve infrastructure, and support the development of port-based industries. The Dighi Port Industrial Area (DPIA) is a second industrial node in Maharashtra that is also being developed in conjunction with the port expansion. The DPIA will cover 5,024 hectares and will be located in nine villages in the Roha and Mangaon which are near to Pen Tehsil of the Raigad district. The industrial complex is expected to be a major node of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and may cater to the pharmaceutical, engineering, and food processing industries. The DPIA is strategically located near the Pune-Harihareshwar Highway, the Pune-Kolad Highway, and the Mumbai-Goa National Highway..
